History and Vision of the Program
Bibliomania started out as a program called Battle of the Books back in the 1990s, way before I was a librarian! Battle of the Books evolved into Bibliomania in 2018 with the opportunity for students to choose how they wanted to express their connection with their reading. Students can create an artwork, a maker build, or Kahoot questions, or participate in the Teacher vs. Student Battle. The point of the program is to encourage reading and to have fun. It also gives the Walker community a chance to recognize and celebrate students' reading achievements.
